Today Chris, Mel and I will have a meet up to collect work and review the 3 months residency. I am sure we will have lots to talk about and reflect on. Some of the keys points I aim to log here in the next few days.
In the meantime here are some comments from the final show:
“Incredible reclaimed dissection of the human body and mind. All senses tingling! Fantastic work.”
“Really enjoyed the art, a real journey of sound and sight 🙂 Thank you”
“I loved being here tonight – thanks Chris and Lisa.”
For those of you that couldnt get to the show last night you can view it this Saturday while KTHC is open, you can also listen to the soundscape here.
The showcase of our work and process was last night at Free Space Gallery at Kentish Town Health Centre. We had a very busy day getting work ready, hanging work, and preparing for the event. But it all went to plan and by the time the door opened at 6.30pm we were ready just in time. Chris gave visitors a very clear talk about his work on the ground floor space and then visitors went upstairs to the first floor gallery to view further work and hear the soundscape. Some of the films were shown in the waiting room alongside refreshments being served.
It was an enjoyable, if not exhausting evening, and we felt encouraged by the number of people that came to view the work and hear about the residency. We received some positive feedback and it was interesting to hear people responses to the work and the residency.
We are gearing up for the final event on Thursday and only have two more days at KTHC. Its been a fantastic few months. Here is an article that Chris has written at Exposure in preparation of Thursday and his beautiful photoshop image.
Latest video edit from Kentish Town Health Centre – I have to admit I rather like this one. It is as if the lights and sounds have created their own means of communication.
While going through work produced over the 3 months here is one I made earlier….
